Autoarchive 2 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
A couple of questions. I installed the autoarchive and set it to move to my archive category. It doesn't seem to be working. My other question, if I just set it to archive, where do the archives reside? Ultimate goal is to move all the articles in each section to the archive section at the each month.

Thanks!

Jason

Jason:
The archive status is simply a flag similar to the published status or the published but inactive status (which is the expired status). So your articles that are archived still reside in the same section and category they were originally. The archive module allows you to see those archived articles. You can, however, move your articles to a new section/category when you archive them. Is that what you are trying to do?

Dave

Yes, that is what I was trying to do. I actually figured it out and created a new archive section and it works great! Thanks!!

Re:Autoarchive 2 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I'd like you inform me if this plugin can do the following:

I have a Section A and Categories A1 A2 and A3 in it
I have a Section B and Categories B1 B2 and B3 in it

I'd like to move the articles from the A1 to B1, A2 to B2 and A3 to B3 categories when the articcles in the A1, A2 and a3 categories expire.

Thank you in advance

Zoltan

@zvaranka: You can do what you describe but it will be clumsy. Here is how assuming you want them to be archived (Though you could also move them and republish):
1. Set the plugin to filter by section and category A/A1
2. Set Action to Perform: Move to Archive AND Section/Category or Move to Section/Category AND Re-publish
3. Select Destination Section/Category to B/B1
4. Set the number of items to process and the polling cycles to an appropriate value to accomplish this in the time you would like.

Now then repeat the process for the next Section/Category until all have been moved.
As I said, it will be clumsy cause you can't do these moves with this plugin all at the same time.

Dave
