autoarchive to multiple cate.? 2 Months ago
I have a main category that contains CURRENT articles - I would like to autoarchive them based on expiration date to MULTIPLE categories. For instance... Main Category would = 'newsletter'(which represents the current year monthly newsletters); upon the expiration of each monthly newsletter "article" i would like it to automatically archive to "2010 Archive", "2011 archive", "2012 archive".

Does this program do this, if so please explain.

thank you kindly

Let me restate what I think you are trying to say.
Your newsletters already exist in a category called Newsletter
When those newsletters expire during 2010, you want them archived to the 2010 Archive
When those newsletters expire during 2011, you want them archived to the 2011 Archive
etc.

If correct, yes AutoArchive 2 can handle that but it will require you to make changes to the parameters during the year. You can set the parameters to retrieve expired articles from a specific category and you can set parameters to both archive and move the article to a specific category (Note that it won't create the category for you - it has to already exist). The tricky part is if some of your 2010 articles don't expire until 2011. It is even more tricky if you have some 2011 articles expiring at the same time period as some of the 2010 articles. In that case AutoArchive2 can't tell a 2010 article from a 2011 article. So, keep running AutoArchive2 in the early part of 2011 to catch the remaining 2010 articles. After they are gone change the parameters to now archive to the new category your 2011 articles.
Regards,

Dave
